Happy Mother’s Day to everyone! Today I am reminded of how blessed I am to be a mom. It’s not always easy, it’s not always appreciated, and it’s not always valued – but it is my world. I started scrapbooking when my son was 6 weeks old because I knew that I just had to capture everything about this little miracle. Fourteen years (and one daughter) later, I look back at their first books and it reminds me exactly why I do what I do.
Scrapbooking keeps my memories alive and celebrates those moments that I never want to forget. It makes my heart warm and fuzzy and often brings tears to my eyes when I look back at those snapshots I have frozen in time. Sure – the art of scrapbooking has come a LOOOONG way since I started and some of my first pages are simply hideous (what was I thinking????), but they are mine. My art and my mothering have evolved into something that is at the core of my very existence, and sometimes I just need to stop and take a look at how far I have come.
Life is a journey. Scrapbook it.
Happy Mother’s Day!
Make Something SCRAPTABULOUS – because CUTE matters!
