Welcome to the December Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! If you have come here from the fabulous blog of Darlys Recker, you are on the right path! If you happen to get lost along the way, the complete list of hoppers can be found here.
It may be December, but this month’s stamp set, Candlelight Garden, feels fresh and springy! I love the sense of whimsy and romance with this set! Our ShinHan markers would be perfect to color these images, but I seem to have misplaced mine…. or rather, I never got them back after my son used them for a school project! LOL So – I decided to use our watercolor paints to create a whimsical heart banner.
Papers: Black Paper Fundamentals, Cardstock: black, white, slate, petal
Inks: Black
Embellishments: Black & Pink Fundamental Assortments, Black shimmer trim, Slate twine, Grey enamel gems, watercolor paints
I used varying shades of pink to paint the heart stamps. For some hearts, I left the edges sketchy, while the others I used more water to even out the strokes. I used the gray paint to create the threads to attach the hearts. Watercolor paints are SO FUN to play with – I can tell I will be using them more in the future!
Thanks so much for hopping with us!! Your next stop will be Paige Dolecki’s blog – have fun!
Make Something SCRAPTABULOUS – because CUTE matters!
Hugs,
Dana

Beautiful! I loved how you focused on the heart – I also like how you used the strip of hearts.
OH MY GOSH!! I love, love, LOVE how you used the negative from the Fundamentals to create your strip of hearts. Brilliant, Dana!!
