Balloon Animals – Let’s Celebrate!

FebSOTM2016

Welcome to the  February 2016 Stamp of the Month Blog Hop! If you have come here from the fabulous blog of Katie Skiff, you are on the right path! If you happen to get lost along the way, the complete list of hoppers can be found here.

My favorite balloon animal in this set is the monkey – isn’t he the cutest?  And, seeing that I seriously have Spring Break on the brain, the combination of monkeys and beach makes me reminisce about a massage I received on the beach in Costa Rica while listening to the monkeys in the trees!  Now, the massage was like the worst ever, but the monkeys totally made the whole experience.  So, here is the resulting artwork…..

Balloon Animals Stamp of the Month February 2016 Let's Celebrate Card Birthday Party #cricutexplore #cards #cardmaking #ctmh #scraptabulousdesignsCardstock:  Canary, Desert Sand, Pear, White Daisy, Crystal Blue, Champagne
Inks:  Archival Black, Desert Sand, Saddle, Honey
Embellishments:  Clear Sparkles, Woodgrain & Damask embossing folders

I used the My Anchor Thin Cuts and Stamps to create the waves and sun for this card – they are the perfect complement to this beachy themed card!

Oh my stars, this is so cute! I want to make this NOW!!! But maybe I tuck it away in my brain for my 25th anniversary next fall when hubby and I go somewhere tropical! We had palm trees and kettle drums outside our honeymoon suite in the Bahamas. But had there been a monkey I’m sure he’d have climbed the palm. (Some workers climbed it to chop down coconuts. Does that count?)
